Why Concrete Damage Can’t Wait
Concrete defects like concrete cancer, spalling and cracking don’t just a effect how your building looks. Left untreated, they can:
- Expose occupants and visitors to falling concrete
- Allow water and contaminants to reach reinforcement steel
- Accelerate corrosion and structural deterioration
- Turn manageable repairs into major, costly projects
Whether you manage a strata scheme, own a commercial asset or live in a freestanding home, early diagnosis and targeted concrete repairs can significantly reduce long-term costs and risk.

How Our Concrete Repair Process Works
Every building is different, but our structured process keeps your project clear, safe and well-managed from day one.
Concrete Repair Systems We Use
We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all repairs. Our team selects materials and systems based on the cause, extent of damage and exposure conditions of your building.
- Polymer-modified repair mortars – rebuild damaged concrete and restore structural performance.
- Corrosion inhibitors and protective treatments – slow or stop reinforcement corrosion to extend service life.
- Epoxy mortars and crack injection resins – high-strength solutions for structural cracks and heavily loaded areas.
- Shotcrete repairs – sprayed concrete for larger or complex repair areas.
- Magnesite removal and remediation – safe removal of magnesite toppings and repair of underlying concrete.
We’ll explain your options in clear, practical terms and recommend the most suitable system for your building and budget.

Concrete Repairs FAQs
Concrete cancer (also known as concrete spalling) occurs when steel reinforcement inside the concrete begins to corrode and expand. This causes the surrounding concrete to crack, delaminate and break away. If left untreated, the damage can spread and impact the structural integrity of the building.
Common signs include rust stains leaching from the concrete, bubbling or flaking surfaces, cracking around edges or corners and pieces of concrete falling away. Balconies, slab edges, soffits and car parks are common problem areas. If you notice any of these symptoms, it’s best to arrange an inspection.
In most cases, residents and tenants can remain in the building while repairs are underway. We plan access, noisy works and temporary exclusions to minimise disruption and maintain safe
Timeframes depend on the size of the project, access requirements and weather. Smaller repair scopes may be completed in days, while larger façade or balcony repair projects can run over several weeks or more. We’ll provide an estimated program as part of your proposal so you know what to expect.
When the root cause is addressed and appropriate systems are used, concrete repairs can significantly extend the service life of the structure. Our focus is on both repairing existing damage and protecting the concrete and reinforcement to reduce the likelihood of future issues.
DeltaCorp Remedial is based in Tuggerah and provides remedial services to buildings across NSW. If you’re unsure whether your property is within our service area, contact our team and we’ll be happy to confirm.
